What type of data can I collect?

| How do I collect it? If you already collect your information electronically you can interface directly with SafeTRACK©. If you don't, you can use FarmLINK© or SourceID© enables you to electronically collect data at any process stage using a hand held device such as any normal PDA or RDT unit that can communicate directly with the SafeTRACK© server in 'Real-Time'. Quality information is collected in a similar fashion using eQC© You can set up your own tests, Supermarket specifications or work from the SafeTRACK library of predefined tests. As do our Supermarket clients, who use our SafeTRACK© Quality Control within their Regional Distribution Centres (RDC) across the world. |
| How can I use the data I
have collected? Any data collected can be used to improve your Business Processes & Operational Practices and help you comply with all food safety standards. Having electronically collected and stored your information, you'll know that all your due diligence data is available and you can make it accessible over the Internet for customers, inspection agencies etc. Having a record of for example, all your chemical applications etc. means you can make year on year comparisons, improvements etc. As products moves across each operation or backwards & forwards between each type of production, export, import company; through the supply chain, each link records the changes that happened to the product while it was with them, and record details of any quality tests carried out along the way. With the request submitted to SafeTRACK© a report is compiled. The report shows the date, time, locations & conditions under which the process was completed and any comments. In this way, each member of the supply chain helps build a traceability picture of the product, enabling you to see where your product goes and what condition it is in when it gets there. These details can be printed or saved to a local computer. |
| How can I see what is happening to my product? |
At the origination process your product is given a unique identifying number. Depending on the product or operation type, this may be against a Lot, a bin, box, pallet or container number. This number is stored on SafeTRACK© and used for any ' Track & Trace ' queries.
By logging on to SafeTRACK© on the Internet and entering the unique identifying number you gave your product, you can view the current location and status of your product in the supply chain, and the changes it has gone through since leaving you.
When SafeTRACK© compiles the report, we can ' Track & Trace ' that after X1XX stage your products where moved from a Bulk Bin XX1234 went to location X1XXXXX1X1 where it was processed into X sub-groups which became Pallet 001 and Pallet 002.
At stage XX2X, Pallet 001 was loaded into Container ZZ1234 which then went to Port ABC for shipping. Container ZZ1234 was shipped from Port ABC to Port ZZZ where it arrived on 04/01/2005.
On 05/02/2005, a quality control test was carried out on Pallet 001 when it was unloaded from Container ZZ1234 and the results are shown.
On 07/02/2005, Pallet 001 was repackaged and divided into Pallets A001, A002 and A003.
On 08/02/2005, pre-packed pallets A001 and A002 were received by Customer 1 and Customer 2 respectively.
Pallet A003 has not yet been sold. In addition, the owner can see that part of his original Bulk Bin – Pallet 002 is still in the packhouse / storage.
Therefore, even as your product changes identity from bulk to finished goods to re-packed product, SafeTRACK© maintains the integrity of the data, allowing you the security & confidence to track where your product has gone.
